Caucasian Lynx Cub Adopted

One of the Caucasian lynx cubs of the Yerevan Zoo has been adopted by a whole family. The Lichtenberger family named the cub Carlo. On September 11 the adopters saw the animal they chose to support for the first time. After meeting their cute adoptee Matthias, Nadia, Yunis, Natalie and Elena Lichtenberger went for a tour at the transformed Zoo, accompanied by the zoo director. Fiber-optical network deployed and high-speed internet access area expanded across the Zoo area

On September 11, Yerevan Zoo hosted an event, which officially announced the launch of fiber-optical network and expansion of the high-speed internet access zone at the Zoo area.  VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian, the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Aram Sukiasyan and the Director of Yerevan Zoo Ruben Khachatryan attended this event.  The organizers highlighted the informational and educational purposes of the initiative. The Yerevan Zoo has opened up new Veterinary Clinic.

New vet clinic is equipped with modern technologies designed for wild and domestic animals. Veterinary clinic also offers X-ray technology and animal distance-narcosis opportunity. The veterinary team closely cooperates with Yerevan Zoo European and Regional partners. Ice Cream Day was held in Yerevan for the 5th time.

On September 5 Yerevan Zoo hosted summer scents and colors in a mixed celebration: the open air Ice Cream Day was held in Yerevan for the 5th time. Little visitors were entertained by music, fairy tale characters, games and contests. The traditional fest offered the zoo's visitors unlimited ice cream available for only 50 AMD. All the proceeds of the day will go towards the zoo's animal welfare project. The festive ice cream was provided by "Ashtarak Kat" Company. The cool and delicious fest was made more accessible for everybody thanks to the generous support of VivaCell-MTS: all the young visitors under 16 enjoyed free entrance to the zoo on September 5.
